f.h.e.

There is no more memorable home video company to me than Family Home Entertainment. Founded in 1980, they were largely responsible for the VHS releases of popular cartoons such as Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles along with the CBS Rankin/Bass specials, the Robotech anime, and Drop Dead Fred. Their greatest achievement, however, were the covers for their twelve G.I. Joe releases. I adored the action figures, of course, but I discovered recently that while I thought I had religiously watched the cartoon, I think I actually just looked at these VHS covers at the rental stores all the time.
